We are a start-up transcription agency out of Calgary, AB. However, we have typists from all over Canada. We believe in providing reliable, home-based transcription assignments for self-employed contractors to work at on their own schedule. This position is great for part-time income, stay-at-home moms and dads, and even people looking to retire into something a little bit more flexible.
We focus on legal and broadcasting transcription. Reliability and dedication to learning are very important to the firm. We require people to adapt to client needs and provide an efficient, accurate transcript on time. Templates and samples are provided for each client and detailed notes on improvement are made during our QC proofreading process.
Our starting pay begins at $1.00/page, but has the opportunity to increase as the candidate becomes more familiar with our processes and workflow. We are also looking to fill several senior transcriptionist and proofreader roles. Monies are paid to the contractor via e-transfer when funds are received from the client (typically 4-5 weeks after submission date).
We operate via Google Calendar, Facebook, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Microsoft Word, so familiarity with these programs is a must. Means of transcription, such as software, foot pedals, hot keys are up to the transcriptionist, but recommendations can be given from Aerora to help you get started.
